Normand Hudon

As an editorial cartoonist for the Quebec newspapers La Presse and Le Devoir Hudon used his artistic talents and platform to comment on the political, legal and religious establishment of Quebec.

In this humorous bronze caricature of the legal profession, Le dernier plaidoye (closing arguments), Hudon has sculpted the face of a lawyer as he argues his case. With fine detail the facial features become a caricature, a nose too large, ears that almost come to a point. Hudon is at his mischievous best.

This bronze sculpture, dated 1989 and numbered 5/12, is set on a black granite block and measures 14 inches in height and is finished with a light brown and green patina.
